Steve & April -- August 30, 2008

So one of my brothers (Steve) has finally tied the knot!! Steve & April were married on Saturday, August 30th and we had the privilege of participating in the wedding...all of us...Wayne was a groomsman, I was a bridesmaid, the girls were the flower girls and Zachary was the ring bearer...they did a fantastic job and managed to pull off a perfect performance (especially monumental since the rehearsal the day before was a nightmare!!). It was such a great day...beautiful sunshine in gorgeous Sonoma County at a quaint and charming lodge (Jack London Lodge). Zach endured wearing a tuxedo (a huge feat for a boy who despises getting dressed for church each week), Maya only lasted during the ceremony with her heels on then changed into her flip flops, and Sydney...she was the belle of the ball!! She insisted on keeping her heels on (and had the blisters to prove it at the end of the night) and danced the night away, she was tireless & quite a hit (she even got her Dad on the dance floor...something even I am rarely able to do for more than one slow dance...I think he preferred dancing with her than watching her dance with all of the other boys!?)! It was such a fun event and we were so happy to be there, and participate in Steve & April's special day!!
